Terms
These terms cover PubUnlock: optional email updates, optional sample-file donation, and converting .pub files you upload. PubUnlock can convert .pub files you upload. We process them, a separate converter processes them for us, and we delete the upload, the preview, and the converted copy within 24 hours. You can delete them now from the batch page. We keep a log of the product, the file name, and the file count for 30 days. We keep each file name and the conversion details (size, Publisher version, result, error code, duration, and tier) for 90 days. The converter deletes its own copy within about an hour after conversion finishes. The batch page has a ZIP of the converted files. The operator, postal address, and contact email are the values shown below.

The service
PubUnlock converts .pub files from Microsoft Publisher on the website. Files are processed by the converter we host, and the batch page shows a watermarked preview before you pay. We do not promise a particular layout or that a donated sample will be useful.
Email updates
You can ask PubUnlock to email you related updates. You must choose church, nonprofit, or school, and you must check the consent box. We send a confirmation email first. You can unsubscribe at any time, in one click, without a login. See the privacy notice.
Sample-file donation
If you donate .pub files, you agree to all of the following:
- They are used only to test conversion quality.
- They are never shared or published, and they are not used to train AI.
- Unconfirmed files are deleted within 24 hours.
- Confirmed files are kept for 90 days, then deleted.
- You can ask us to delete them at any time.
- Do not donate a file that contains personal information.
- You have the rights needed to donate them.
- Each file is a .pub file from Microsoft Publisher, at most 50 MB, and you send at most 5 files at a time.
The donation checkbox starts unchecked. Donating a file does not sign you up for email updates.
Price
You pay from the batch page after conversion, in USD, by card only, and only for files that converted. You get 10 free files per week. A batch is free only when all of its successful files fit in the files you have left and this network is within 3 free batches in an hour and 10 free batches in 24 hours; otherwise the whole batch is charged. $9 up to 50 files. $19 up to 200 files, for now. $39 up to 1,000 files is not for sale while a batch can hold at most 200 files. Each charge is for one batch. There is no subscription. Downloads stay locked until that payment is complete. Files that fail to convert (red) are not charged.
Refunds and cancellation
Files that fail to convert (red) are not charged. You can look at a preview before you pay. Leaving Checkout before you pay costs nothing, and nothing is charged when every file fails. Each charge is for one batch only. There is no subscription and nothing renews. Email the contact address on this page while the batch is still available (up to 24 hours after upload). We refund that charge to the original card through Stripe. If the files are already deleted, email that address with the Stripe receipt and we can still refund the charge in Stripe. Any refund, including a partial refund, locks the downloads again. support@pubunlock.com.
A free batch has nothing to refund. Closing Checkout before you pay ends that purchase and costs nothing. There is no subscription to cancel. After you pay, the downloads stay available until the files are deleted or the charge is refunded. PubUnlock is operated by Kenan Cackovic, a sole proprietor. PubUnlock is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Microsoft. “.pub” and “Microsoft Publisher” are used to name the file type factually.
No warranty
Email updates, the sample-file inbox, and the conversion are provided as is. We do not promise that a conversion will match the original layout. Our liability for a batch is limited to the amount you paid for that batch. These terms follow the laws of California, where the postal address on this page is located. Disputes are brought in the state or federal courts in California.
